You clicked on this link because you were curious to know a little more about who I am or what I do. It’s very hard for me to describe myself as a photographer but colleague Bert Stephani described me, my work and workflow as followed:
Tom Museeuw is a master in shooting kids & teens in a glamorous yet natural and elegant way. He’s doing countless portfolio sessions for the most talented young models. Tom masters light and technique but his biggest asset is probably that he turned silliness into an art form. This allows him to quickly build a relation with his subjects and push them one or two steps beyond what they would do for another photographer (Bert Stephani).
My focus?
My focus is on children / teens and models sessions or portfolios, although I also love to shoot editorial and commercial work.
My style?
My style is editorial, playful, real, and candid. I also really love adding fashion to my images through clothing, posing, and use of location. I’m available for all the super-hip families who are looking for a great experience! You’ll best get to know my style by reading my stories on the blog.
If you’ve just found me and haven’t seen my work yet, here are some basics that might give you a rough start:
• I try to rely as much as possible on natural light sources in combination with reflectors.
• I always try to find a perfect match between subject and background, portraits with an contemporary look are my favorites.
My experience?
My photographs have appeared on covers, and have featured inside magazines, catalogues and model portfolios. I also shoot for several designer children’s labels and boutiques. I am a frequently recommended child-photographer by modeling offices in Belgium.

Main purpose of this blog is to provide you articles about technique and lighting set-ups. Some articles will be in-depth others will handle a simple summary of shootings I’ve done recently.

When will I post updates, can you expect daily or even weekly updates?
This blog is a perfect medium for me to post new work but I will not promise you updates perfectly on schedule. The main purpose of this blog is to share my work, my thoughts and my workflow. Adding new content is time consuming but I promise to provide as much useful info as possible to encourage those who are seeking for tech input! Bear with me if I don’t post frequently, I want to write articles that are solid and interesting and that may take some time.
