Workshops

I’ll be teaching a new series of hands-on workshops for amateur to semi-professional photographers who are interested in photographing children, teens and models.
(Voor de Nederlandstalige versie: bezoek www.createthatlightworkshops.be)

The Create That Light – workshop will be very hands-on and I’m sure you will leave with tons of ideas on how to maximize your creativity as well as learning new lighting techniques to bring your photography to a new level. During the morning session I will be talking about my approach with clients, my vision on lighting and gear. We will be shooting a model during the afternoon session starting from plain available light to more complex lighting scenarios.

A key part of this workshop is making sure you feel comfortable and encouraging you to ask anything and everything, one can learn so much more in an open ended discussion. That’s why along with the outlined schedule and specific topics to be covered, I’ve also included enough time for everyone to bring up what’s on their minds concerning lighting.

I’m starting an email waiting list for those interested in pricing and dates.

Workshop reviews & testimonials:

“The workshop was very hands on – the set ups were done together and Tom always explained clearly and thoroughly what we were doing and why. He patiently answered all our questions and also gave very good advice in person when shooting. A huge plus was that the small size of the workshop allowed for lots of hands-on experimentation and one-on-one coaching. On top of that, De Haan is a gorgeous location! I came home full of energy and loaded with renewed confidence and new ideas.” Petra Roth (Brazil – Ireland).
